George Thomas Freeman, Jr, "Pops", 83, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Troy, NY, on October 5, 1932 and was the son of the late George Thomas Sr and Mary Leach Freeman of County Roscommon, Ireland. Pops was a die-hard Giants and Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing golf and was most proud of his 3 holes-in-one. He also enjoyed bowling, playing darts, traveling, singing, dancing, and making others smile. Pops especially liked the music of Burl Ives, Eddy Arnold, and Johnny Cash. He was often found singing his favorite song "It's Such a Pretty World Today." Above all else, Pops loved spending time with his family. He was a great father and his sense of humor was priceless. He had a kind soul and will be greatly missed by all.
