George Anthony Bradford Van Allen

SCHENECTADY - George Anthony Bradford Van Allen, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

He was born in Schenectady where he lived his whole life. He was the son of the late George Walter Bradford and Rose (Tangarone) Van Allen. 

George was a graduate of Schenectady High School Class of 1974. He attended SUNY Cobleskill where he was a student in their Culinary Program.

He was employed with Price Chopper for several years before retiring. 

George was an avid NASCAR fan, traveling to several tracks around the country.

He was predeceased by his aunts and uncles.

George is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathryn (Westfall) Van Allen; many friends and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, American Heart Assn., the American Lung Association or to the American Diabetes Assn. in George’s memory.
