Rotterdam- Georgia C. Baker (Van Wormer), 71, On March 9, 2025, was called home to the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was born on November 11, 1953 to the late Edward and Georgia VanWormer.
She spent her life dedicated to her children and her many grandchildren. She loved music and dancing, traveling, movies, games and any time spent time with her family. Disney was one of her very favorite places as she remained a carefree, adventurous spirit until the very end.
It’s hard to capture the impact of her lifetime in a few short paragraphs. She was everyone’s favorite person simply because of her quick smile, her ability to find humor in any situation, and her fierce loyalty to those she loved.
To say she has touched the lives of many over the years feels like a gross understatement of her achievements. She had a faith like no other, exhibited grace to those that probably didn’t deserve it and granted forgiveness with an eager and accepting heart. The world is left a little bit darker without her in it.
She is predeceased by her son Travis Baldwin.
She leaves behind her loving children, Georgia (Justin) Senecal, Kelly (Alon) Jacobs-Friedman, Terry Baldwin Jr. honorary daughter Lorie Bowen as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
