Gerald Bogdanowicz, 87, of Colonie passed away November 7, 2023 after a brief illness.
Gerald was born on February 1, 1936 to Joseph and Anna (Kosta) Bogdanowicz.
After graduating from Cohoes High School he went on to study Accounting at Siena College. He was retired from the NYS Department of Transportation.
In 1966 Gerald met and married Kathleen Kelly with whom he had three children: Joseph, James and Laura. Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, playing the piano and golf.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his son Joseph and his wife DeNeen, his daughter Laura and her husband Jeff, and his two granddaughters Kylie and Jaelyn.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anna Bogdanowicz; siblings Viola O'Connor, Sabina Klinowski, Jane Carboni, Zane Bogdanowicz, Eric Bogdanowicz, Camille Maul; and his son James Bogdanowicz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov 12, from 1-3pm and Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 13, at 10am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. Burial immediately following in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery at 1389 Central Ave., Colonie, NY 12205.
