Gerald J. Sproesser

COLONIE – Gerald J. Sproesser, 63, passed away on November 3, 2006 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness.
Jerry was born on February 15, 1943 in Albany and is the son of Louis C. Sproesser and the late Dorothy Sproesser. He was also predeceased by his stepmother, Lillian Sproesser.
Jerry served in the US Navy and has worked for Sealy Mattress for the past 45 years, currently working as a senior engineer at the Sealy Corporate Headquarters in High Point, NC, where he has reside for the past 5 years. He enjoyed golf, football and dinning out.
In addition to his father, Jerry is survived by his son, Matthew C. Sproesser and his brother, Louis C. Sproesser, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.) where a calling hour will precede the service from 6 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com
