Gerald "Jerry" S. Furman

Gerald S. Furman, 77, died suddenly on February 8, 2025.

Born June 26, 1947 in Catskill, Jerry was the son of the late Stanley and Dorothy Furman.

Jerry was employed with the Department of Public Works for 48 years. His passion was street rods, car shows, drinking Pepsi, traveling to casinos, and attending Saratoga Race Course during the summer. Jerry loved conversing with anyone, including strangers, and will forever be remembered for his outgoing personality. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ronnie, Ralph and Roger.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Nina; beloved pup, Gio; sister-in-laws, Lisa D. Tedesco (the late John), Barbara T. DeLuca, Barbara Gage DeLuca (the late Michael); brother-in-law, Arthur A. DeLuca Jr. (the late Dale Riegel); cousins, Cynthia Laidlaw and Susan Redmond; and many nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish his memory.

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
