Gerald "George" A. Rock, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side. Gerald was born in Rutland, VT to the late George and Mae Rock.
George was self-employed as a painter for many years in the capital district, before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed fishing and hunting; he was a true outdoorsman who also enjoyed walking the trails at the preserve in Clifton Park; however; his favorite past time was spending time with his family and friends.
George is survived by his children, Colleen Ramundo, Tammy Rock and Tina Rand. He is the cherished grandfather of Nicole, Samantha, Tracey Jo, James, Alyssa, Antonio and Brandon. He is the adored great grandfather of Ryan and Adam Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38101-9908 in George's memory.Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
