On May 15, 2020, Gerald Townsend Entered Into Eternal Life.
Gerald (Wee-bee) was born to the late Sadie Townsend and Clinton Fine at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY.
He attended and graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA.
Gerald moved to Schenectady in 1993 and has been a long time resident since.
He enjoyed James Brown music, dominos, bowling, singing dancing,and playing his video games. Gerald also enjoyed family gatherings, wearing tube socks,(lol) talking on the phone with his family, cooking and eating.
Gerald was predeceased by his mother and father, his sister Delores (Lores) , brothers; George (Sunny boy), Richard (Chink), Raymond (Mousey, Fork Man).
Survivors include his sisters; Loretta (Reta), Joyce (Joycee) Carol (sis), Brenda (Brenda Dee) and sister in law Jeanette Townsend.
He leaves a host of Great nieces, nephews , Great Great, & Great Great Great nieces and nephews whom he loves dearly
Gerald leaves a host of friends/ relatives as well as his bestfriend/more like a brother, Donnell McCottry and his goddaughter Don Tasia.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
Pallbearers will be: Hashim Nuraldin, Arthur Pryor, Shamel Davis, Tyree Curry, Marquise Davis.
