Albany - Geraldine M. Ackert was called home to our Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She went peacefully with family by her side.
Geraldine was born May 7, 1919 in Detroit Michigan, to the late Maximillion and Eunice (Palmer) Mosall. She married Norris A. Ackert Sr. in 1943 with whom she raised six loving children. She was an avid bowler for about 50 years, she was also a permanent member of the VFW ladies auxiliary #8444 and was a devout member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, officiated by Reverend Mary. Jerry also enjoyed many years of working outside the house from her job at Hykes Mill as a teenager, to Mosall's Grove, and finally retiring from W.T. Grants.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norris A. Ackert Sr., her parents, Max and Eunice Mosall, brother's Milton and Robert Mosall, sister's Elizabeth Brown and Shirley Livingston, and her grandson Lucus C. Snow.
She is survived by her children Geraldine N. Wigand, Linda J. Guzzo, Norris (Kathi) Ackert Jr., Carol A. Ackert, Diana L. Wallace, and Michelle J. (Clyde) Snow Jr, her brother, Douglas (Sylvia) M. Mosall, Sr.,18 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Monday April 9, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow the service at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
