Geraldine Barber

AMSTERDAM- Geraldine E. Barber, 96, died peacefully on Tuesday January 27, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born July 10, 1912 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve Deyo.
Geraldine was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Allen (Red) Barber.
Geraldine is the beloved mother of Helen Deyo of East Durham, John (Leona) Hoffman of Burnt Hills, Joan (Henry) Shoddy of Selkirk, Linda (Zigmund) Peremba of Glenville and the late Richard Barber. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam.
