Troy- Geraldine J. Bracken, 62, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Ellen McIntyre and Gerald Bracken.
Gerri was the "funny girl" of the family and will be missed immensely. She was the only female first string trumpet player with the Spegalers/Avant Garde in the 1970's. Gerri enlisted in the United States Air Force serving one year in Turkey. While in service she was an Airplane Mechanic. Upon returning home she became a chef.
Gerri is survived by her sister, Colleen (Sneed) Urquhart. She will also be missed by her nephew Jeremy Urquhart (Leslie) and niece, Meghan Urquhart (Matt). She is also survived by her brother, Sean Bracken (Evelyn) and nephew Liam Bracken and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thanks Janice Biski-Zanda, Dr. Satik Amirbekian, Dr. Samuel Volo and everyone at Samaritan Hospital.
Services will be private.
