Geraldine Klanfer

Scotia – Geraldine R. Klanfer, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 11, 2014 at Ellis Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Morton H. Klanfer in 2000.

Geraldine proudly served our country in The United States Army, where she met her husband Morton. She was employed by Tarzana Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA where she served as Chief of Voluntary Service for many years. Geraldine was an avid reader, and was known for reading, "A book a day." She will be remembered by her family for being a loving, kind, compassionate, and generous woman to everyone she knew.

In addition to her husband Geraldine was predeceased by her son David Klanfer, and siblings; Patricia Lembo, Joan LaMar, and John D. Allen.

Geraldine is survived by her children Allen Klanfer and Sharon Klanfer, her two adored grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral Services for Geraldine will be Thursday February 13th at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Calling hours will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday February 14th at 12:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
