Geraldine K. Myers, 87, wife of the late Robert J. Myers of East Greenbush, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehab facility in Livingston, NY. Passing peacefully in her sleep after a final visit by her loving children, just shy of her birthday.
Born September 13, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Taggart (Donohue). After the passing of her mother, she relocated to Albany, NY and graduated High School from the Vincentian Institute in 1953. She was married to Robert in 1955 where she worked as a telephone operator for NY Telephone Co. Over the course of many years, she also worked at the family business, Myers Meat Market, until the store finally closed in 1980.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters Kathleen Diaz (Roy Mosley) of Syracuse and Cynthia Rosano (Greg) of Las Vegas, and her son Tim Myers of East Greenbush; her 6 grandchildren, Christopher Diaz (Anna), Jessica Tremblay (Eric), Jason Diaz, Nicole Rosano, Brittany Rosano (Guilermo Martinez) and Colin Myers and her 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother- in-law Rodney Myers and wife Shirley. Geraldine was also predeceased by her sister Margaret O'Connor and in-law parents Joseph V. Myers and Louise nee Einzig Myers.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:00 am in the Church of Holy Spirit, 667 Columbia Tpk, E. Greenbush NY 12061. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie , NY.
