Albany- Geraldo Balls-Suarez "Jerry", 83, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Born in Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Victoria and Antonio Balls-Suarez.
Jerry is survived by 17 children that we know of, and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Victor, Lydia ,Carmen and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Tony, Rosa, Luis and Miriam. Jerry lived a long life and was affectionately known as "Uncle Jerry" to all who knew him. He was passionate about cars, motorcycles, cooking, casinos and scratch off lottery tickets. Jerry was also known for his many sayings such as: you don't eat, you don't poop, you don't poop, you die; why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free; Want $20 dollars?; "Hoongamahonga" and I'm a smart. Jerry always lived his life to the fullest, stirred strong emotions in everyone, and lived life on his own terms.
Jerry was a prostate cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 4pm-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie,NY 12205.
