Colonie - Gertrude Green, known as "Gert" or "Trudy", passed away on November 29, 2018, at the age of 71 years.
Gert was a mischievous fun loving woman. Beginning in 1984, Gert resided with Catholic Charities Disabilities Services, and received caring support from the dedicated support professionals at Serena House, Warren House and most recently, Riverview IRA. Gert was happiest when she was kicking around and sticking her tongue out in her playful way to say "I got you". Gert enjoyed drawing pictures, collecting Jordan sneakers and decorating for the holidays. Gert enjoyed her daily routine, and eagerly awaited each morning to leave to attend day program at Warren Washington Albany ARC on Krumkill Rd. Gert loved to take napes and snuggle in her favorite spot on the couch or in her bed. Gert will truly be missed for her ability to grab your attention and instantly make you adore her.
A private service will be held to celebrate and remember Gertrude Green.
