SCHENECTADY – Gertrude L. Connell, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Plattsburgh on November 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian Boothman.
Gertrude was a hard worker who helped her family the best she could, working for Tobin's Meat Packing and Moore Data. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, watching nature and the family dogs.
Gertrude was predeceased by her husband John Connell, and daughter Darlene Smith.
She will be missed by her son John White; grandchildren Nicolle, Frank and Christopher; great-grandchild Morgan and grand-furchildren Amber and Kiba.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302 in Gertrude's name.
