Gertrude "Trudy"A. Jones

Colonie- Gertrude A. Jones passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016 at The Community Hospice Inn, Albany. She was 82 years old. The daughter of the late Cassius and Alice (Blake) White, Trudy was born on February 4, 1934 in Albany, NY. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Jones, Jr. of Troy.
She is survived by her daughter Kandie Sawyer; her grandchildren: Jeremy (Kerri) Sawyer and Jessica Sawyer; her great-grandchildren: Luke Winchell and Zachary and Megan Sawyer; her sisters: June Degener, Virginia Steffen and Marion Shufelt and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Trudy was predeceased by her son-in-law Gordon Sawyer and her brothers-in-law: Donald Degener, Henry Steffen and William Shufelt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 11 am at Roessleville Presbyterian Church, 1 N Elmhurst Ave, Albany, NY 12205. Burial will be private.
