Gilbert Kellenberger

Niskayuna- Gilbert Kellenberger, 92, passed away comfortably at home on Friday, September 24, 2021. Born in Guttenberg, NJ he was the son of the late Hans and Alina Kellenberger. He is predeceased by his six siblings. Gil is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Claudia "Cookie" Kellenberger (Czarnecki). Cookie and Gil married in 1987 which he considered the second luckiest day in his life.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was sent to Germany instead of Korea and thought of it as the luckiest day of his life.

Gil worked for the Watervliet Arsenal for many years as a tool and gauge maker retiring in 1988. Gil dearly loved the wonderful pets in his life.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy

Schenectady Rd.,Watervliet, NY 12189. Interment with full military honors will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2:30pm

At the families request masks are required while in the funeral home.
