Albany – Gino Goldfarb, 41, passed away Thursday August 26, 2010.
Gino was born in Albany, a son to Sue and Ron Goldfarb and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from CBA and attended George Washington university on a baseball scholarship, where he earned the distinction of Rookie of the Year. Gino enjoyed fishing, gardening, baseball and cooking and loved to share a good meal or a box of Freihofer cookies with friends and family. He had a love of life, a generous spirit and a smile that could light up the room. Gino will be missed greatly by his many dear friends and loving family, whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents, Gino is survived by his beloved wife Christina Goldfarb, children: Lisa, Zachary, Rachael and Jacob Goldfarb, step-daughter Brittany "B" Damino, sister Colleen Bradley, brother Fred (Debbie) Bradley, paternal grandmother Lillian Goldfarb, aunts: Pat Doyle and Gail (Tom) Desrosier, uncles: Donald (Mary) Jonhson, Marvin (Margie), Richard (Polly), Garry and Mark (Mary) Goldfarb, nieces Kaitlyn and Laurie and his canine companion and best friend" Onyx".
The funeral will be Monday 9:30am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday 3:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Gino's family will be receiving people at #1 Sheffield Circle, Loudonville Monday after 12:00 noon.
