Troy- Gino J. Sestito, 87, passed away at home, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was the son of the late Anthony J. and Angelina Sestito. Gino is predeceased by his loving wife Jean L. Sestito.
Gino was a graduate of Troy High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II. Following his service, Gino went on to become the Vice President of Marine Midland Bank and Evergreen Bank in East Greenbush. In 1981, he joined his sons at T&J Electrical Associates working in accounts receivable up until the time of his passing. Gino was a communicant and was on the finance committee at St. Anthony of Padua Church. He sat on the board of directors for the IACC of Albany and the ICC of Troy and was also a longtime member of the Troy Central Rod & Gun Club.
Gino is survived by his children, Anthony M. Sestito (Joan), Rose Marie Hansen (Carl), Joseph S. Sestito (JoAnne). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder (Jay), Michele Alix (Tom), Nicholas Sestito (Emily), Lucas Sestito and his three great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evelyn and Angelina.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Russel Wenacur and his entire staff and Dr. John Phelan and his entire staff at NYOH. The family would also like to sincerely thank Jennifer Reid and her entire nursing staff for the tireless hours and the loving care given to Gino and the family.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. The family will be meeting at 9:30am on Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 State St, Troy, NY 12180 for a Mass of Christian burial. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
