CLARKSVILLE - Giovani F. "Twink" Lembo, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Twink was born on June 24, 1934 in Albany and was the son of the late Cosimo and Margaret Tomasone Lembo. He served 20 years in the US Air Force and after that worked for the US Post Office in Colonie as a mailman for 18 years. He was a member of the Onesquethaw Fish and Game Club and the Altamont Rod and Gun Club.
Twink is survived by his sister, Margaret Parisi of Albany; his brother, Ernest R. (Patricia) Lembo; his nieces, Cindy Meister, Laura Lembo and Betsy Phibbs; his nephews, John, Joseph and Guy Lembo and Thomas Parisi; his great-nieces, Sarah and Mary Meister, Tonya Young and Katie Lembo; his great-nephews, James Meister, Joseph Young, Michael Lembo, and Bobby, Michael, James and Jason Phibbs; his great-great-niece, Alexis and his great-great-nephew, Charles. He is also survived by many close cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Della Rocco and four brothers, Michael, Joseph, Cosmo and Edward Lembo.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
