Gisele Somers

Saratoga – Gisele Simone Somers, 67, passed away Wednesday May 7, 2008 with her family at her side at her home in Saratoga. Gisele passed after a twenty year long fight with Ovarian Cancer.

Gisele was born in Montreal, Canada the daughter of the late Mary Simone (Plouffe) and Henri Pelletier. She has resided in the Northeast most of her adult life. She has been happy to call Saratoga home since 1986. Gisele was a devoted housewife, loving mother and grandmother for over forty years. Her beloved husband, Frederick Carl Somers predeceased her four years ago. Gisele loved cooking, travel, fine dining and her visits to the Casino, but her real passions were her family and friends.

Gisele is survived by her children; Linda Somers and Frank Fournier of Schenectady, Tammy Somers of Wilton, Fred and Lisa Somers of Hobart, Indiana and Carl and Christine Somers of Guilderland; her grandchildren; Danielle, Christopher, Jahred, Chaundra, Jake, Justin, Amanda, Sean, Courtney and Alyssa; her sister Francine, her nieces; Brigitte and Danielle, her best friends; France, Sue, Kim and Nancy. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Pepper.

A memorial service will be held 7:00pm Monday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga County.
