Gladys M. Cath (Kingsland) "PeeWee", true to her namesake, went to the Lord willingly and peacefully, in the presence of her beloved daughter on September 29, 2023.
Born November 28, 1939 in Niskayuna, she was the daughter to the late Henry Kingsland and Marion Miller.
Gladys was a graduate of Colonie Central High in 1958. She was a "snowbird" and took pleasure in her travels - NY summers, FL winters - Grand Canyon to Niagara Falls, Bahamas to Greece; wherever she went, she soared like an Eagle. Gladys enjoyed bowling, crocheting, spending time with her family, and especially being involved in a Church. In her final years, she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Rotterdam. Gladys spent most of her life in service to others, retiring as a LPN from Our Lady of Hope in Latham after 21 yrs.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 1st husband, Joseph Crandall Sr., her last husband Harold Cath, her brother Henry, sisters Ruth & Marguerite, and her Soulmate, Douglas Visscher.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Sheri Lamb; son, Joseph Crandall Jr.; grandson, Russell McDonald ; great-grandson, Quinton Anthony; sisters, Louise and Elsie, many nieces and nephews (including Kelly Sheldon whom she shared a Birthday), and many great-nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of people who she loved deeply and who loved her equally.
