Glenn William Carey, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at St. Peters Hospital.
Glenn was the son of the late Joseph A. and Helena M. (O'Sullivan) Carey. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Joseph A. Carey Jr. and Kenneth J. Carey.
Glenn is survived by his brother, Gilbert L. Carey Sr. his wife Barbara (who Glenn called sister). Nephews and nieces, Gilbert L. Jr., Kristen M. Howells (Bradley), Scott Carey, Jaclynn L. Cook (Matthew). Great nephews and great nieces, Noah R. Carey, Evan J. Carey, Jillian L. Howells, Maren A. Howells and Adrian A. Carey. His cousins Joanne Bleau-Theileman, David and Waldi Cavanagh, Karen O'Sullivan who were always there for Glenn.
Glenn loved music and played the organ routinely. He would listen to his radio every morning. He also loved dogs, especially Big Charlie, Little Felix and Little Reese. They made him smile when they came over to visit him.
The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to the Colonie E.M.S. and the doctors, nursing staff, technicians and speech therapist at St. Peters who took care of Glenn.
The burial will be private. A memorial service will be in the spring at the graveside.
