Gloria Ann Lambert

January 6, 1928 — February 4, 2015

ALBANY-Gloria "Glo" Ann Lambert, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Teresian House. She was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Angelo and Anna (Matteo) Sano. She was employed at Albany County Department of Finance for over 20 years and was a fashion consultant for Honigsbaums in Albany for over 20 years. Gloria loved fashion and dressing people. She graduated from Hudson Valley Community College at 55 years old for Stenography. This was an accomplishment that she was most proud of. Gloria was a member of the Italian American Club. She loved watching the birds, planting her roses and the compliments about her green eyes. Gloria also enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and eating ice cream in bed. Most of all, Gloria's love for her granddaughter Christina was unsurpassed.
Gloria is survived by her beloved daughter Carol Lambert and her cherished granddaughter Christina Lambert. She is also survived by her sisters Eleanor Clark and Rita Bennett; sister in law Margaret Sano and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her beloved brother Benjamin Sano and by her former husband Jack Lambert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext. Albany, NY.
