Gloria T. Caraway

Albany- Gloria T. Caraway, 79, of Albany NY, the beloved wife of Joe L. "Teddy" Caraway of Albany peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on July 14th 2021.
Born in Albany NY, Gloria was the daughter of the late Ulysses Paul and Selena Parker Paul and the sister of the late Mari Alice Paul and Sandra McKinney.
Gloria was an amazing wife and mother of 5 children, Dawne Grant, Deborah Burke, Kimberly Kayemba, Joe Caraway Jr, and Damien Caraway. In addition, she was the beloved grandmother to Daishon Brockington, Stephen Sanders, Ahmara Gilliam, Areshon Grant, Shawn Bleichert, Brandi Kayemba, Brandon Kayemba, Jalen Caraway, Devan Caraway and Juliette Caraway.
After retiring from Verizon, Gloria began her second career by opening an in home daycare center where she cared for several children over the years treating them all as if they were her own.
Gloria's many pleasures included following the activities of her children and grandchildren, visiting with family and friends, playing cards with her family and friends and even enjoyed a game of solitaire every now and then. One of her greatest passions was always ensuring that those around her were well taken care of in whatever capacity she was able to assist.
Though no longer with us, Gloria's legacy will continue to live on in the lives of those she loved and who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend her wake at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Saturday July 17, 2021 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
