Gloria Antoinette Chwazik of Latham and Woodgate, NY passed away peacefully on July 24, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Gloria was born in Utica, NY on September 1, 1924, the daughter of Marion and Marcella Murczkiewicz. She was a graduate of Rider College, homemaker and beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Chwazik with whom she celebrated their 60th anniversary of marriage in June of this year.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Gayle (Jerry) Guzik of Delmar, Rick (Theresa) Chwazik of Slingerlands, and Peter Chwazik of Corning, NY. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Amy Guzik of Charlottesville, VA and Adam Guzik of Manhattan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gloria most enjoyed the beauty of the Adirondacks at her cottage built by her father at White Lake. The family wishes to sincerely thank the medical staff and volunteers of both Faxton-St. Luke's Memorial Hospital of Utica and St. Peter's Hospital of Albany for their professional care of Gloria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 9:30 am at Holy Trinity Church, Utica, NY.
