Gloria E Hayle

Gloria E. Hayle, 80, of Albany, NY died peacefully after a brief illness on October 6, 2022, at St Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.
Born July 22, 1942, in Prospect District, Westmoreland, Jamaica W.I., she is predeceased by parents, Rebecca and Charles Johnson and sisters Marion Frater (FL), Daphne Johnson (JA) and brother Roy Moncrieffe (JA).

She emigrated to the United States in the late 1960's and was employed by St Peter's Hospital for many years as a nurse and then at the American Red Cross until her retirement.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Sharon McLaughlin (FL), sisters Eileen Johnson (CAN) and Esmie McIntosh (NY); two granddaughters, Maayka and Anika McLaughlin(FL), a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members as well as many treasured lifelong friends.

Those who wish to join in a celebration of Gloria's life may join her family on Monday, October 24 for a viewing from 9-11am followed by a service at 11am at the New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY. Interment will be at the Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Avenue, Albany. A repast will be held immediately following interment at the Hibernian Hall, 375 Ontario St, Albany, NY.
