November 19, 1928 — June 12, 2017

Latham- Gloria Jones, 88, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017. Gloria was the daughter of the late John Henry Jackson, Sr. and Hazel Jackson.

Gloria was a Deaconess at Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church. All who knew her would affirm that she was deeply grounded in her religious faith. She served as a member of many ministries including Progressive 500, and the Home Mission Ministry. In addition, she committed her time to the Empire State Baptist Convention, and also served as Vice President Women's Auxiliary, Eastern Region, National Baptist Convention, Inc.

Gloria is survived by her children, Marilyn "Penny" Jones Joseph (CA), Robin Denise Jones-Davis (GA), and her sister, Sandra L. Wallace, Albany, NY; along with a host of family and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church, 105 2nd Street, Albany, New York on Friday June 16, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am., followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gloria's memory to The Home Mission at Metropolitan.
