Gloria May Calka

Gloria M. Calka, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug 11, 2012 at Albany County Nursing Home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Mitchell and Marie Pitlash. Gloria was a loving wife, caring mother and had a great sense of humor. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Adam B. Calka, Sr.

Gloria is survived by her beloved daughters Marie DiLillo, Micki (Bud) Blackman, Gloria Kelly, Deborah (Richard) Wertman and her cherished son Adam Jr. (Laurie) Calka. She was the adored grandmother of Johnny, David, Amy, Michael and Christina and the great grandmother of Sydney, Hailey, Ashleigh, Austin, Emily and Sophia.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Albany County Nursing home, especially 2 high-rise, nursing, PT, activities and hair salon for all of the care and compassion given to Gloria, also to her daughter-in-law Laurie for all of her love and support.

Funeral service for Gloria will be on Wednesday at 11 am at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.
