Gloria Micare 81 passed away peacefully on Sunday,Oct.24th 2021.Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Clayton & Gladys MacFarlane.She is predeceased by her loving husband of 12 years Joseph R.Micare.
Gloria was a loving and vibrant woman. She worked for many years as a secretary and tax preparer for National Gypsum,Holbrook Lumber and St.Peter's to name but a few.
Gloria had many interests and hobbies including: Bowling,Darts (every Sunday!),Arts and Crafts,Gardening,Fashion but none greater than Shopping! She was an avid music fan who loved country music and early rock n roll stars such as Elvis Presley,Buddy Holly and of course Tom Jones.
She enjoyed being social and was a member of several clubs including: The Blue Creek Garden Club,Polish American Citizens club and had been a member of the Joeseph E.Zaloga Ladies Auxillary for over 50 years,serving as 2nd Vice President from 1996-1998.She was also a member of Christ Our Light Seniors as well as a regular parishioner.
Gloria loved to laugh,loved British comedies,always had time for her son and loved our dogs greatly. She will be sorely missed.
Gloria is survived by her loving son Scott Zadrozinski of Loudonville,NY and loving niece Donna-Stadler Hostetler of Maryland. She is predeceased by her sister Carrolyn Peliker of Albany NY.
The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Commons rehab center for their dedication and making Mom comfortable especially in her last days.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd.Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral ceremony celebrated by Deacon Bob Sweeney will be held at 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
