Albany – Gloria Winchell Rahman peacefully passed into eternal life on October 29, 2012 after a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NYC and lived in Florida and California before returning to Albany nearly ten years ago.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her father, James E. Winchell (1982), her nephew, Benjamin L. Ladner (2005) and her brother, John J. Winchell (2007). Gloria was a fun loving, artistic and caring person who loved animals.
Survivors include her sister, Kathleen (Gordon) Ladner, her nephew, Justin (Amanda) and her faithful friends, especially, Pat, Harry, Morgan and Amy.
Gloria's family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Hillinger (NY Hematologist), Kathleen Patterson, FNP (Evercare) and the nurses and staff of the Albany County Nursing Home for their care and compassion to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Thursday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
She loved her cats and in Gloria's memory, donations may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
