Gloria Rosemarie Fowler

CHARLOTTE, NC – Gloria Rosemarie Fowler, 73, our beloved Mother, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2008 in Charlotte, NC after a long illness. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brother and friends.
Gloria, Mema, Rosie and Go-Go as her friends like to call her, was born to the late Stephen and Anna Macejka on February 16, 1935 in Schenectady. Gloria had been employed with Frank Reil Trucking, Bliss Animal Hospital, Ramada Inn and Erie Foreign Parts in Utica before retiring to North Carolina. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Gloria also enjoyed Nascar Racing, watching old movies and shopping.
She is survived by her 2 loving children, Roxanne Carro (Michael) of Charlotte and Brian Fowler (Michelle) of Tennessee; her adoring grandchildren, Ronnie Cartier (wife Jackie and son Aaron), Danielle Cartier, Kristofer Carro, Kourtney Carro, Jake Fowler and Bryson Fowler. Gloria is the sister of Joseph Macejka (Michelle) and the late Steven Macejka (Pat). Several nieces and a nephew also survive. She will be greatly missed by her best friends and pet Elvis.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:30 at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. We would encourage everyone to bring a favorite photo of Rosie to add to our celebration of Rosie's life. Interment will follow at Memorys Garden.
