Gordon H. Mcrae

Gordon H. "Mac" McRae, 96, passed away peacefully at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence C. and Ruth A. (Hopkins) McRae.
Gordon graduated from Albany Business School, and retired from GE, from Shipping and Receiving, Selkirk NY.
He loved doing puzzles, watching and feeding the birds, and rooting for the NY Yankees.
Gordon is survived by his daughter Clarisa J. McRae, son Robert L. (Carole) McRae, his grandchildren Michael McRae, Megan (Chris) McRae Beauchemin, and great-granddaughter Eliza Beauchemin; his two nephews Jeffrey Taylor and Peter Jacobus. He will be especially missed by his dear friend who was like a son-in-law to him, Walter W. Brandow Jr.
He is predeceased by his wife Ruth Louise McRae, and his sisters Phyllis Taylor and Jean McRae.
Gordon's final resting place will be in the family plot at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Services will be private.
