Grace E. Forte

Grace E. Forte, 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born on Valentine's Day, 1962, and was the first child of parents Christine and John. Grace was the devoted wife to Paul J. Forte. They were married 35 years.


Grace received her Master's Degree in Education and worked for several years as an Educational Aide at Blue Creek School, Latham, New York, where she was beloved by all her students and colleagues. She spent nearly 40 years working in special education.


In addition to her husband, Paul, Grace is survived by her daughters, Marissa and Jessica. Grace was an avid dog-lover and is also leaving behind her beloved miniature dachshund, Lovie. She is predeceased by her mother and father, along with several of her treasured dogs, including: dachshund, Frankie, beagles, Digger and Lana, and chihuahua, Charlie.


Grace was known for her upbeat and positive personality. She could make anyone laugh. She loved spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and taking exercise classes with her friends. She was an avid lover of The Peanuts, especially Snoopy.


Visitation for family and friends will be at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet on February 21, 2024 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Grace's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
