October 20, 1935 — August 24, 2022
Albany- Grace M. Hans, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Grace was the daughter of the late James and Nancy Malatino.
Grace graduated from Vincentian Institute. She worked at New York State Department of Tax and Finance for many years. Grace went on to open Lunch Haven restaurant with Tony Marvelli on New Scotland Avenue in Albany.
Grace enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Grace had a passion for collecting jewelry. She enjoyed vacationing in Hampton Beach with her family.
The best time of her life was the time she spent with her beloved, Tony.
Grace is survived by her children, Diane (Robert) Williams and Joseph Hans; grandson, Charlie (Ashley) Williams; great grandchildren, Gabriella and James Williams; brothers, Joseph (Nora) Malatino and James (Linda) Malatino; and many cherished friends.
In addition to her parents, Grace is predeceased by her devoted partner of over 35 years, Anthony Marvelli; her beloved granddaughter, Kerstin Williams.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the all the staff at the Teresian house, especially the doctors, nurses, physical therapists and aides who provided compassionate care to Grace and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Grace's name to a charity of your choice.
