Albany – Grace Murphy, 97, passed away peacefully Monday August 16, 2010.
Grace was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Sarah and Aloysius Weis. She was a lifelong area resident. Grace worked as a lab technician for New York State Department of Health for many years. She retired in 1969 at the same time as her husband, John Murphy, who predeceased her in 1993. They enjoyed boating and traveling together. Grace was an avid crafter who loved knitting and crocheting and was a long time communicant of Christ The King Church.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Cole; niece Patricia Reichel, nephews Michael Cole, Neil Cole and Walter Weis. Grace was predeceased by her brothers Willard Weis and Walter Weis.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. (Rt. 155 – South of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 8:30 to 10:00 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
