Grace Warner

VOORHEESVILLE-Grace May (Gerard) Warner, 90 of Voorheesville passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany. Grace was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy Gerard. She graduated from Albany High School, Class of 1940. Mrs. Warner was employed by Montgomery Ward for several years prior to having her children. She was active within the New Scotland Presbyterian Church for 60 years, where she served on the Treasurer's Women's UPW, a Sunday School Teacher, and assisted with church dinners and fundraisers. Mrs. Warner was also a Girl Scout leader.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, whom she married on June 13, 1942, Frank William Warner. She is the beloved mother of Brian Gerard Warner and his wife Barbara Mary (Perkins) and the grandmother of Anastasia Marie Warner, Stephany Lynn (Warner) McKinley and her husband Robert McKinley and by a great granddaughter Layla Marie McKinley.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warner was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Jean Warner.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2010 New Scotland Rd. New Scotland, NY.
The interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie at 2:00 PM.
