Gregory A. Stalker

COLONIE-Gregory A. Stalker, 52 of Colonie passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born in Albany, NY the son of the late Arnold and Alta (DeWitt) Stalker. Gregory graduated from Albany High School and Schenectady Community College. He was employed by the South Colonie School District. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a member of the Silver Sneakers. Gregory loved all animals, especially his cats.
Gregory is survived by his wife Debra (Knowlson) Stalker; they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on October 5, 2014. He is the step son of Mary Ann Stalker and the step brother of Robin Steinhorst, Johanne (Timothy) DiMare, Henry (Kathleen) Steinhorst, Cheryl Steinhorst, Joy (Alan) Davis, David Stockbridge, Kyle Stalker, Breann Stalker and Rose Stalker. Gregory is also survived by his aunt Catherine Yankowski and his nieces and nephews Jessica Weijola, Chloe and Gabriel Stalker, Steven and Joleen Wright, Melissa (Shawn) Cotton, Timothy (Rachel) DiMare, Anthony DiMare, Kaitlyn Steinhorst and Elizabeth Steinhorst; several cousins, his mother-in-law Marcia Knowlson and by his sister-in-law Theresa (Ed) Wright.
In addition to his parents, Gregory was predeceased by two brothers Kevin and Jeffrey Stalker.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Gregory.
