Gregory J. Bielawa

Castleton- Gregory J. Bielawa, 53, passed away on January 1, 2022 after a brief courageous battle with COVID. Greg wishes are for everyone to be vaccinated. Greg is the son of Carolyn Bielawa and the late Joseph Bielawa.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister Lisa Daniels (Cory Stanton) and nephews, Cole and Chad as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Simba.
Greg is a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1986. He was employed as a Corrections Officer for 28 years at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility.
His greatest joy was long rides in his convertible with the top down and great meals at his favorite restaurant.
The family wishes to thank the courageous doctors and nurses of the ICU at Albany Medical Center.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family
For those who wish to remember Greg, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands.
