Schenectady – Gregory Lester, 47, passed away Thursday April 29, 2010.
Gregory Lester was born April 18, 1963 in Bronx, NY and grew up in Long Island City, NY. He is survived by his wife Lourdes Lester, father Philmore Lester, mother Cheryl Hunt, six children: Monique, Shari, Patricia, Jesus, Tyrel and Shaquelle, sisters Denise and Dawn and brother Robert. Gregory is also survived by his three grandchildren Sephia, Davier and Xaveon and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Greg was employed by the Holiday Inn as a chef where he excelled at his job. His love for people was the reason he was a successful mentor and cultivated many friends. Gregory had a real love for his family and spent endless hours working on homes. He loved fixing things and being creative. He was very jovial and loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday 12:00 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
