Gustava L. Froschauer

Schenectady- Gustava L. Froschauer, 97, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Gustava was the daughter of the late Frederick and Olive Grigoleit. Gustava was the loving wife to the late Howard Froschauer. They were married over 50 years. Gustava was sister to Robert, Woodrow, Esther (Carmen) Zanitto, Frederick (Grace), Olive (Robert) Miller, Charlotte (Phillip) Mavente.

Gustava was a professional Domestic Engineer, devoted to her family and her home. She loved to crochet and bowl. She looked forward to her Friday night card games with the girls from the neighborhood. Gustava was also an avid reader, enjoying mostly historical books and facts. She also enjoyed Tuesday Shopping Day with her sisters followed by lunch.

Gustava is survived by her children, Carolyn (Vito, deceased) Gabriel, Bruce (Sharon) Froschauer; grandchildren, GiGi (Martina) Gabriel Dillmann, Dana (John) Wiley, Clint Froschauer, Lisa (John Sullivan) Diemer, Jeffrey (Angela) Froschauer; 18 great grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends.

Gustava is predeceased by son, Harvey (Karyl) Froschauer; great-great grandson, Alex; and her 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
