SCHENECTADY- Guyer J. Berbrick, 61, of Schenectady, passed way on Thursday morning at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Springfield, MA and is the son of Margaret Daly Berbrick of Albany and the late Frank A. Berbrick.
Guy was a 1962 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. He served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. He was a loan representative for New York State Higher Education in Albany for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. Guy was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Over the Hill Gang. He enjoyed radio controlled airplanes and working with model ships.
He is the beloved husband of Julie Berbrick. Father of Frank Berbrick and Jason (Jackie) Berbrick. Step father of Justin (Stefanie) Manchester. He is the brother of Frank A. (Christine) Berbrick III. Uncle of Jennifer (Christopher) Kuhn; brother in law of Gloria Bronson; grandfather of Stephanie, Rachel and Ethan Berbrick; Christian and Julia Rose Manchester.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in the spring in Lewis Cemetery, Essex County. At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
