Gyula "Julius" Agfalvi, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Capital Living and Rehab Center following a short illness.
He was born in Esztergom, Hungary to the late Michael and Bakular (Borbala) Agfalvi. He came to the United States in 1959. He worked for General Electric for 25 years as a tool maker.
Julius was very well liked, had a great personality and was a friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Julius was predeceased by his young son, Robert Joseph Agfalvi; his brothers Frank, Fred, Michael Agfalvi and his sister Maggie Barna.
Julius is survived by his three sons, Michael J., Edward J. and Robert J. Agfalvi; He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ciara, Kimberly, Ryan Agfalvi and Robert J. Agfalvi Jr.; his caregiver and niece, Maggie O'Rourke and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Ellis Hospital, 6th floor, Schenectady Hospice for their support and the amazing staff of Capital Living Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be private, and Julius will be buried at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
