Albany~
The immediate and extended family of Harold J. Feisthamel, born April 25, 1933, sadly share that he has passed into eternal rest on June 19, 2018. Harold now leaves us to join his mother, Marguerite and father John, his sister Marie Grasse, his beloved wife Margaret and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Piech, Carol (Tony) Stoffel and Mary McMahon; his children Ann (Paul) Ferenczy, Kathryn Barrett, John (Angela) Feisthamel, James (Rene'e) Feisthamel, Susan (Zackery) Geddies, Lynn (Larry Slack) Gardner, and fiancé- Nancy O' Pezio.
Harold was the uncle of many beloved nieces and nephews, proud grandfather of Jacob, Kevin, Adam, Bryan, Melanie, Sarah, Samuel, Zackery, Allie, Leanna, Luke and great-grandpa of Beia, Rowland and Logan.
In addition to his primary job as a father, Harold also worked a variety of jobs including NYS security guard and supervisor for OGS Surplus Property. Prior to meeting Margaret Savoie, his wife of 58 years, he worked penning his own column for Lowville's hometown newspaper. He attended Siena College before joining the United States Army in the Korean War, where he continued to use his journalism skills.
Harold loved telling stories, playing Santa Claus, singing in the Germania Hall Choir of Troy, traveling with his family and fiancé, and giving well-behaved children $2 bills!
In lieu of flowers, Harold requested that we please remember him by donating to: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in North Albany.
