Harold Flansburg, Jr.

VOORHEESVILLE, NY – On the morning of April 16, 2008, Harold Flansburg, Jr., 74, passed away suddenly. He was born in Albany and was a lifelong Voorheesville resident. Harold was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Voorheesville Rod and Gun Club and the Voorheesville American Legion Post #1493. Mr. Flansburg was an avid hunter and fisherman. Harold is survived by his beloved wife and lifelong love of 55 years, Hazel "Susie" (Dittmer) Flansburg. He is the devoted father of Suzanne Flansburg, Jon (Kathy) Flansburg and Scott (Beth) Flansburg. He is the cherished grandfather of Shannon (Nick) Catucci, Sherri (Eric) Shafer-Groat, Kimberly Flansburg and David Flansburg. He is the loving great-grandfather of Teresa, Bryanna and Aryanna Catucci and Althea Groat. Harold is the brother of Joyce Sullivan. Also surviving are three nephews and his beloved dog and companion, "Willie."
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Voorheesville Volunteer Ambulance, 21 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12186 in memory of Harold Flansburg.
