Guilderland - Harold W. Magilton, 84, entered into eternal rest Saturday December 29, 2007 at home after a long illness. Harold was born in Schenectady the son of the late Harold S. and Edith (Link) Magilton. He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy and was a lifelong area resident. Harold worked for General Electric in Schenectady for over thirty years as a forklift operator and retired in 1984.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of almost sixty years, Shirley, their children Sheila (Robert) Pagnotti, Keith Magilton and his fiancé Carol, Dennis (Elise) Magilton and Kevin Magilton and his long time companion Mary, his grandchildren; Aaron, Brian, Victoria, Christopher and Jessica and several cousins. He is also survived by a long time family friend Geraldine Haight. Harold was predeceased by two of his grandchildren; Sandra and Justin.
The family would like to thank the Caregivers of the Eddy Senior Center Pace Program for the wonderful care they gave to Harold and the kindness shown to his family.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00am at Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Ave., Albany. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00pm at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Interment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park.
