Harold P. (Hal) Grogan, 65, beloved husband of Shareen (Hagan) Grogan, died suddenly while enjoying a family visit to this area on Sunday, September 20. Born in Troy, NY, Hal was the son of the late Jay and Barbara (Adams) Grogan. He attended Troy schools and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. Survivors in addition, to his wife Shareen, include his children Tatiana (John) Mulhorn of Salem, NJ, Sabrina Grogan of Charleston, SC, and Meghan and Jay Grogan of Encinitas, CA. Also surviving are Hal's siblings Jayne Pascarell of Burnt Hills, NY, David Grogan (Linda) of Melbourne Beach, FL, Esther Grogan of Port Charlotte, FL, William Grogan (Pam) of Ticonderoga, NY, Richard Grogan (MaryAnne) of Troy, NY, Mary Grogan of Troy, NY, Margaret Grogan (George Tucker) of Nassau, NY. Hal was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Grogan. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Hal enjoyed gardening, reading and outdoor activities. Never afraid to try new activities, Hal loved to hike, bike and roller blade. A thoughtful but quiet man, Hal most reveled his generous heart through his actions rather than his words. A celebration of Hal's life will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 25th. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ballston Lake Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 1005, Ballston Lake, NY 12019 or a local food pantry.
