COLONIE - Harold S. "Skip" Robertson, 76, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at home with his loving wife.
Skip was born June 23, 1947 in Albany, NY to the late Harold and Hattie Robertson.
Skip spent his life doing many different jobs, but the one he thrived at and liked the most was cooking. Whether is was for work or during family gatherings, it always included cooking and providing food for anyone that came to visit.
Several of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, boating and going on cruises. Most of all, his favorite thing was spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved them more than anything in the world.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Robertson of Colonie, NY; two children Melissa Coon (Travis) of Colonie, NY and Brandi Slezak (Andrew) of Odessa, FL; six grandchildren, Alexander, Caroline, Taylor, Riley, Logan and Abigail; three siblings, Lillian, Carol and Annette; two lifelong friends, Paul Shuhart and Harold "Sandy" Sherman and two fur pals, Bolt and Baby.
He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Hattie Robertson, his son, H.Stewart Robertson and several siblings, Charles (Chubby), Virginia, Linda, Judy and one half sister.
Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 7, 2023
at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
