ALBANY - Harriet Ellen Rubin, 78, passed away on July 22, 2023 in Oviedo, Fla.
Born in Newburg, NY on April 6, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Frieda (Sherman) Toback. She graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She worked for the State of New York and then for various companies including Sears, Orlando Magic and Florida statewide PTA. She enjoyed crafting, baking, was an avid dog lover and reader, and spending time with her family especially doting on her grandson.
Harriet is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Stewart H. Rubin; her devoted children, Sean (Julie) Rubin and Traci (James) Mistarz; and her cherished grandson, Keaton Rubin. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Toback.
A graveside committal service will be held on Sunday, July 30, at 11:45 am at the Independent Benevolent Society Cemetery, 260 Fuller Road, Albany, NY.
